Star of Hope Mission Ending homelessness ... one life, one family at a time.

This Christmas …

Christmas time is such a wonderful time of the year. Each year, we enjoy wonderful Christmas music, homes are decorated with Christmas lights abound, and we ponder the great message of the Gospel; God’s amazing gift of His son, Jesus … to US.

The Gospel is a wonderful reminder of God’s grace and mercy over our lives, and it is what gives us hope of an eternal life with Him. Last night, I was blessed with this reminder at our annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at our Women and Family Development Center . The residents experienced a joyful, peaceful time together, as the children enacted the birth of Jesus, and we sang “Joy to the World!” Everyone’s attention was drawn to the message of the birth of a Savior … OUR Savior, Jesus, as we worshiped and sang together. Christ was truly at the center of the evening!

This Christmas season, let’s all make a special effort to spread the good news that Jesus Christ is the Redeemer … the only Son of God, and has come so that all who believe in Him may have life, and have it more abundantly, and live with a purpose in this life and experience a future in Heaven!

I pray that we think about Christmases past … and we join together to thank God for the amazing gift of His Son Jesus Christ. We especially lift up those in our community who have lost their way … homeless, hopeless, and in fear this Christmas. I pray God uses us to bring His hope into their lives and the lives of their children … that they may feel God’s love this Christmas as never before, as we celebrate the birth of His Son!

Your gifts are providing their home for Christmas this year, and we thank you for helping make Christ the center of the season for them all! Merry Christmas!
