Star of Hope Mission Ending homelessness ... one life, one family at a time.

As we celebrate our mothers this Mother’s Day, I am especially appreciative of the Mother’s Day Luncheon held this week at our Women and Family Development Center. It was a fun afternoon hosted by the Trees of Hope organization, which has been supporting Star of Hope for 28 years.

More than 50 of our mothers were honored with a lovely luncheon where they had the opportunity to visit with the Trees of Hope board members and share about the challenges and joys they face as a mother. Taking classes, working, and raising children is not an easy task, and these amazing women deserved to be celebrated. Our mothers felt especially blessed when they received flowers, an amazing Spa-in-a-Jar gift filled with beauty products, and a Nothing Bundt Cake treat just for them. We are truly thankful for all that Trees of Hope does for our residents.

Thank you for the gifts and support YOU provide to us year-round to help us serve those in need! To all the mothers reading this update, we at Star of Hope would like to wish you a very special and blessed Mother’s Day!

As I was able to visit this event, I truly enjoyed seeing the smiles on our mother’s faces. They were delighted to be treated, enjoying a nice lunch, and having discussion.

As many of the mother’s left, and then as they picked their children up later that afternoon, they raved about how this event was beautiful. We are so extremely grateful for Tree’s of Hope and the phenomenal job they did, orchestrating this event for our mother’s.

To have them come and bless our mother’s, it was a pleasure.

Thank you to Tree’s of Hope for making our mom’s feel special, and for planning every detail that came together so well.
