He is Risen!

Easter will soon be here! This Sunday will be a day to remember and reflect on God’s promise and the Good News of Jesus Christ! As we celebrate this holy week, I pray we all can share the joy of Easter and the good news with those in need of hope.

At Star of Hope Mission, we encounter people who have been through troubling times and need a Savior. Valesia is one of those people. Valesia was abused at a young age and turned to alcohol and drugs to find an escape. She was headed down a dark path, and as a young mother, she was giving up on life. Until one day, her daughter motivated her to seek help. With just the clothes on their backs, God led Valesia and her children to Star of Hope to seek a better life. Valesia found hope here and most importantly, a relationship with Jesus!

With God’s help and your support, we can share His love and spread hope with the homeless in our community. It may be someone’s first time hearing the Good News … someone may be lost and in need of a reminder of what Easter truly means. Because of His sacrifice, we are shown what it looks like to be selfless, and I pray we can show that to others by sharing His beautiful message of hope with them!

Thank you, Heavenly Father, for sending your Son down to save us and for giving us an opportunity to have NEW LIFE. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for dying for our sins … for each homeless person or family who finds their way to Star of Hope … and for friends like you who selflessly share your love with them. Jesus is the Star for the homeless and for all of us! Together, let us share hope and the joy of Easter with others!

Happy Easter to you and your family!
