Children and teens at Star of Hope recently enjoyed Spring Break at the Women and Family Development Center! In the past, our Children and Youth Ministry staff have blessed the children with trips to the Houston Zoo and Wildlife Park, where they saw giraffes, gorillas and much more wildlife, among many other wonderful experiences.

This year, our children’s staff celebrated the week off by throwing a Spring Break celebration for the younger children, complete with a slip n’ slide and snow cones! The teens were also treated to a fun day at the Kemah Boardwalk and a Party in the Park, where they had a wonderful time outdoors, enjoying their break from school.

Experiencing homelessness at any age is difficult, but for children, the lack of stability can cause them to feel allienated from their peers. At Star of Hope, they are able to build friendships and find the support they need to succed in both school and in life.

Thank you for providing these children with once-in-a-lifetime opportunities. Because of you, our staff is able to provide them with unique experiences and moments they will remember for the rest of their lives.
