Mother’s Day is on Sunday! This is a special time to show appreciation to our moms and all women who serve as mother figures in our lives. In preparation for this day, the mothers at Star of Hope Mission were celebrated by Trees for Hope, which has been supporting Star of Hope families for more than 30 years.
Prior to the pandemic, Trees of Hope would host a Mother’s Day Luncheon for the mothers at Star of Hope. This year Trees of Hope held its Moms Matter campaign and raised funds to create 150 Mother’s Day gift bags for our Star of Hope moms! It was a joy to see how thankful and encouraged these mothers were as they received their gifts!
Because of your support, Star of Hope is here to help homeless mothers get through their crisis situations and back on their feet so they can learn, through our personal and spiritual development programs, how to become the parents their children need them to be. Like these gift bags, your prayers and support let them know that their hard work is appreciated.
Thank you for being a source of encouragement for these mothers as they strive to make a better life for themselves and their children.
This Sunday, let’s celebrate all the “moms” here at Star of Hope and in our own lives … I pray they feel appreciated on their special day!
