At Star of Hope, we see broken and desperate lives every day. The world is telling them they are not good enough, and that they do not measure up to the standards of our society. Many are at rock bottom with literally no one else to turn to for help. But when they come to the Star of Hope, we offer love and acceptance, and we tell them something different, that there is Good News, and there is Hope!
So, as we celebrate this Easter, we remember the brutal death on that Roman cross that Jesus bore for our sins, and we celebrate Jesus’ resurrection from the dead and the new life we can have and share with others who choose to believe in Him also. What better time than Easter, to help someone find God’s love and forgiveness, and begin to experience the life that God has planned for them!
Jesus has called us to proclaim by our words and our example the Good News of Jesus Christ … and that through Him, there is always Hope! Jesus said “I have come that you might have life, and have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10) Join us as we celebrate this NEW LIFE we have in Christ, and as we share it with those in need this Easter.
Thank you Heavenly Father for giving us your Son, and thank you Lord Jesus for dying on the cross for me … for each one who reads this … and for each homeless person or family who finds their way here to Star of Hope! Happy Easter to you all!
