Our Rescue Story

The Star of Hope Annual Banquet, “Our Rescue Story,” will be held Friday, February 25, 2022 at the Hilton Americas-Houston Hotel. This year Star of Hope will celebrate its 115th Anniversary, and I hope you will join us for this special evening of worship and celebration!

I would like to thank our Presenting Sponsors, The Hildebrand Foundation, The Looper Foundation, and Walter Oil & Gas Corporation, for their faithful support. Also, thank you to our Host Committee Chairs, Becky and Malcolm Morris, for their assistance with this year’s event and their ongoing support of Star of Hope.

At this year’s Banquet, we will honor Yvonne and Walter E. Johnson, with the Inaugural President’s Award for three decades of commitment and support of Star of Hope; Network Funding, LP, with the Heart of Hope Award for Exemplary Commitment to Star of Hope; and Gregory Lattier, Ph.D., with the George and Barbara Bush Points of Light Award for Exemplary Volunteer Service in Star of Hope programs.

Zach Williams, 2-time Grammy Award-Winning contemporary Christian singer song-writer, will give a special live musical performance. You will be blessed by how the redemptive message of Zach’s music casts light upon the life-changing ministry of Star of Hope! And, the highlight of the evening will be hearing the heartfelt testimonies from Star of Hope alumni and residents!

At Star of Hope, we encounter the broken and lost who have nowhere to turn. God brings them to Star of Hope to renew and rescue them to a living hope through Jesus Christ. Thanks to our donors, volunteers, churches and other supporters, God has blessed this amazing ministry for 115 years.

I hope you will join us to help celebrate “Our Rescue Story” – Celebrating 115 years of serving the homeless members of our community! There is still time to register to attend. Thank you for all that you do to support Star of Hope and the homeless men, women and children in our city.
