Star of Hope Mission Ending homelessness ... one life, one family at a time.

Oh glorious day! After five years of envisioning, planning, and construction we have opened the doors of the Women and Family Development Center at Star of Hope’s Cornerstone Community℠ transformational campus!

It has been so rewarding to see our community come together and support this project through their financial giving, volunteerism and prayer. We could not have done it without your help in all three of these areas.

For those of us who have been closely engaged in the construction details, it is wonderful to see the reaction of others when they see Cornerstone Community℠ for the first time. Not only do they see the beauty of the architecture, the landscaping and the décor, but they experience the light, the joy and the grace and mercy of God’s presence. “There is dignity here” as one recent visitor, who hails from a poverty-stricken country, said.

Cornerstone Community℠ is a place where someone who is hurting and in need can come and say “this is the first day of the rest of my life.” A new beginning that can only be brought about by a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. And that is at the heart of all that we do at Star of Hope.

We know that when a person unites with Jesus Christ, they begin a joyful life. No matter what happens after that, they never again face the struggles of life alone.

When you visit, and I hope you do, you will see a unique community. As far as we know, there is nowhere else like Cornerstone Community℠ caring so deeply for so many women and families at one time. I think you will smile and rejoice for those finding grace and peace in this place.

And if you haven’t already done so, I hope you become a part of what we are doing at Cornerstone Community℠, whether it is through your time, talent, treasure or prayer, and that God blesses you richly in the process.

What a great accomplishment for SOH, the City of Houston, and surrounding areas. I drove by the new location over the past year and was witness to the many stages that it took to build this wonderful facility. What a blessing to the women and children that will benefit from this.

    Good Morning,

I would love to be a part of this Blessed Community, so I can use All of my Anointing Gifts and Talents that The Lord has Blessed me with. Some Years ago I use to come and speak to the Ladies about Credit and Money Management. My Passion is Empowering Communities, Families and Individuals, to become Sufficient. I have a lot of Life Experiences in How the Lord Has Blessed me Through so many Trails and Tribulations in order for me to Live In Victory. I learn to embrace what I have experience in Life, because the Lord Jesus Christ will use it to be a Blessing for others.I’m Excited and I look forward to being a part of this Family. Bfree

I was there in 2000. I am from charm city Baltimore M.D.. First of all, A Star of hope saved my life. The chapel was key for me, the spirituality was the piece that I was missing in my life. When I went back home, I changed people, places and things so GOD could give me new ones to remain clean and sober. I went to college and earned a peer recovery coach certificate, and bachelor’s Arts Degree in Human Services. I also would love to be affiliated with you guys in any way helping those in need., you all are the best est.
