What happens if my family is not sponsored/adopted?
While it is our hope and prayer that EVERY family who registers will be sponsored by a Sponsor/Sponsor Group, it is NOT guaranteed. We believe the need will be greater this year because of inflation and the recent economic crisis. And there may not be enough Sponsors to adopt all the Recipient families who register on the Roonga site.
We recommend the following:
An in-person or virtual interview is required to register and be approved for the 2023 Glad Tidings Christmas Adopt-a-Family program. Once you have been scheduled for the interview, the following items must be presented in person or sent via email. Interested applicants must meet ”All” eligibility requirements to be considered for the Christmas adoption.
First-time families will be considered first for approval for the Glad Tidings Adopt-a-Family program. Returning applicants profiles will not be released for adoption until after October 5, 2023. All applications will be reviewed and evaluated by the Glad Tidings Team, approval or denial will be determined by November 1, 2023. Failure to submit the proper documentation will result in an incomplete application/denied applicant.
A detailed biography must be TYPED, explaining in detail how your family has been impacted by financial hardships and why you would like to be considered for the 2023 Glad Tidings Adopt-A-Family program (see sample biography below).
To begin the Glad Tidings registration process, please send all required documents via email to gladtidings@sohmission.org (preferred method) or fax to 281.783.2589 (please inquire that all pages were received legibly) . Once you have submitted all the required documents then proceed to register online as a recipient.
Failure to provide the necessary documentation or adhere to the guidelines outlined in the 2023 Christmas Glad Tidings Adopt-a-Family, will lead to an incomplete application and subsequent denial of your application. https://rb.gy/ei48l
Income Eligibility: To be eligible, you must have an annual household income (before taxes) that is below the following amounts: *For households with more than eight people, add $6,136 per additional person.
