Summer is finally here! For children, that means a break from school and more time for fun in the sun! Soon our Star of Hope children will be heading to camp where they will spend time fishing, swimming, horseback riding and participating in activities that will share the truth of the Gospel and teach the children about Jesus Christ.
At the Star of Hope, summer camp is an exciting opportunity for our children to grow! For some of them it will be there first-time camping. They will learn various team building skills and experience new things, but most importantly they grow in their faith! Every child needs to know they are valuable and made in God’s image. Being outdoors in God’s creation is a good place to learn this, and because of you, Star of Hope children will have that opportunity!
Life can be hard, especially for a child who lives in a shelter. Summer camp is an opportunity for our children to get away from the stress of being homeless, and experience the goodness of God’s creation. Thanks to the support of a generous donor, these kids can enjoy their summer break and bring back positive memories to last a lifetime!
