Star of Hope Appoints Michael S. Lade, CPA, as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

HOUSTON, Texas (December 9, 2025) — Star of Hope, Houston’s oldest mission serving individuals and families experiencing homelessness, today announced that Michael S. Lade, CPA, has joined the organization as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Lade is a strategic finance and operations executive with broad experience spanning entrepreneurial and high-growth companies, NYSE-listed corporations, private organizations, and nonprofit institutions. In his new role, he will lead Star of Hope’s financial strategy, stewardship, and organizational planning to support the mission’s long-term sustainability and impact.

In his role as Chief Financial Officer, Lade will serve on Star of Hope’s Executive Management Team, leading the organization’s financial strategy and day-to-day fiscal operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, financial reporting, audits, and compliance. He will also support long-range planning and growth initiatives, provide financial guidance on key decisions and contracts, and oversee Human Resources and Information Technology to ensure teams and systems are aligned with Star of Hope’s mission and operational goals.

Most recently, Lade served as Senior Vice President and Chief of Staff at Enservco Corporation (NYSE: ENSV), supporting post-merger integration, operations, and corporate development, after leading OilServ, LLC / Rapid Hot Flow, LLC as President and CFO through significant growth and a successful sale to Enservco. He also co-founded Everest Funeral Package, LLC, where as Vice President & CFO he helped build the company from startup to profitability and led multiple capital raises. Previously, Lade served in executive leadership roles as Vice President of Mergers & Acquisitions for two NYSE listed companies, after beginning his career in public accounting. Lade also brings deep nonprofit governance experience through leadership with Food Allergy Research & Education (FARE), including having served as Chair of the Audit Committee and Treasurer, where he supported endowment oversight. In addition, he is a Stephen Minister, Elder and Trustee at Pines Presbyterian Church.

Lade earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Southwestern University and is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Texas.
