Star of Hope welcomed more than 300 guests to an afternoon of giving and goodwill at Bingo, Brunch and Brighter Futures, a fundraising event held in support of Houston’s most vulnerable residents—the children living at Star of Hope, Houston’s oldest and largest homeless mission. The event was hosted by the Boards of Trustees of Star of Hope and Trees of Hope.
Guests enjoyed brunch and several rounds of lively bingo with prizes, as well as a powerful testimony by a Star of Hope resident who shared a message of transformation, underscoring the mission and ongoing impact of Star of Hope.
This year’s event honored longtime Star of Hope partner Amegy Bank, whose continued support helps ensure the mission’s work can reach those who need it most.
“This year’s event was a beautiful reminder of what happens when our community comes together to uplift the children of Star of Hope,” said Kim Thompson, Star of Hope Chief Advancement Officer. “We are deeply grateful to everyone who attended and gave so generously to help give the Star of Hope kids a brighter tomorrow.”
Proceeds from the event directly benefit the Children’s Critical Care Fund, which provides essential resources to help children experiencing homelessness build more stable and hopeful futures.
