Get Help Give Now

Last week at Star of Hope’s Women and Family Development Center, we were blessed to celebrate 10 women who were recognized for completing educational programs!

Held in our Hope Chapel, these commencement ceremonies are a great opportunity to get a true understanding of what our residents have endured, how God has changed their lives, and why completing a program at Star of Hope is a huge accomplishment. Women and children who end up at Star of Hope need help and a safe place to stay. I am thankful we can provide them with quality recovery and educational programs that will help them get back on their feet.

When I walked into the chapel, I saw 10 women on stage with huge smiles, hope in their eyes, and a bright future ahead of them. As I listened to six of these women deliver their heartfelt testimonies, I was reminded of the goodness and grace of God. Pamela spoke about how she had been broken down and left feeling hopeless, but God had other plans for her. Deuteronomy 31:6 comes to mind. While Pamela delivered her story of being in an abusive relationship, she exuded strength and courage. She was in despair, but God saved Pamela by leading her to the doors of Star of Hope … where she grew closer to Him and found hope. God never left her side.

The Lord has been with many of our graduates as they enter a new chapter in life and work their way back to a stable and successful life. Every day I thank God for friends like you who support our mission and residents like Pamela. We know that without God and your support, none of this would be possible. Please help us continue this amazing work by making a gift today or signing up to volunteer! We look forward to serving with you!
