Payroll Processor – Human Resources

Job Responsibilities:

Payroll Processing Updates:

  • Review all new hire data input performed by Human Resources into database.
  • Review and run status change/update reports.
  • Monitor and review all benefit adjustments and pay change data input through Human Resources.
  • Proper records retention in this area.

Current Period Payroll:

  • Administration and review of Time and Attendance records time distribution information for Pay Expert payroll system.
  • Handle all Time and Attendance issues including producing reports, reconciling, and reviewing for accuracy and reasonableness with appropriate supervisor.
  • Print all necessary pre-transmission reports and review for completeness and content.
  • Transmit payroll by Tuesday the week of payroll at 3:00 PM.
  • Proper records retention in this area.

Payroll & HR Reports:

  • Preparation and distribution of Payroll Register, Closing Reports, Report, Monthly Detailed Payroll Payables Report, Biweekly Vacation/Sick Leave Report, Biweekly Overtime Reports, Personal Days Reports, Garnishments and other payroll reports and HR special projects as needed.

Other Job Responsibilities:

  1. Attend and participate in departmental meetings.
  2. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate Degree preferred. ADP Payroll Systems knowledge preferred. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.

Skills & Experience: Three-plus years of payroll experience. Knowledge of Excel and Word and experience with computerized payroll systems.
